We are pleased to remind you that the next
RIAO conference and technology meeting on large-scale semantic access to Text, Image, Video and Sound content will take place at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
from May 30 to June 1, 2007.

Organized every three years since 1985 by the Paris-based Center for advanced studies in information retrieval (CID - Centre des Hautes Etudes Internationales d'Information Documentaire – www.le-cid.org), the RIAO conferences are meeting places for scientists, researchers and business people whose fields of interest include sharing about the state-of-the-art scientific and industrial solutions to information processing.

The RIAO 2007 conference in Pittsburgh is open for scientific papers, industrial applications and advanced research prototypes dealing with topic of “Innovative tools for massive volumes of multimedia / multilingual data management”.

Innovative products, solutions and prototypes are being reviewed by an international selection committee and selected applications will be presented during the RIAO conference.
Submitting an application is a very simple process: companies and research teams whose product / solution meets the criteria of novelty and of innovativeness can fill in an application on line at www.riao.org . In addition to the application, applicants will have to provide access to an online or CD version of the solution that demonstrates its innovative functionalities.

Each selected project will be provided with a demonstration space (including table and chair) free of charge. Selected applicants will also be granted a dedicated time slot for a presentation. Products and solutions' features as demonstrated during RIAO 2007 will be published in the proceedings.

The best application will be granted the RIAO 2007 Award and join the prestigious list of projects that RIAO and its partners have supported and promoted over the past 20 years.
